Music, mask, and storytelling with CAN Young Artists.
This autumn, CAN is inviting young people aged 13–20 to join a 12-week creative workshop season at Contact Theatre.
Bringing together music, theatrical mask work, movement and storytelling, the programme is a space to experiment, make things together and explore creative ideas.
Across the 12 weeks, CAN Young Artists will have the chance to make music, develop characters, explore performance, and create stories inspired by their own ideas, experiences and the things that matter to them.
No previous experience is needed. All abilities and levels of English are welcome, with the sessions offering a supportive space to explore, experiment and create together.
All workshops are free to attend. Food and refreshments will be provided, and bus travel will be covered by CAN.
The programme takes place at Contact Theatre, Oxford Road, Manchester, M15 6JA, from Wednesday 9 September to Saturday 12 December, with workshops running from 5:30pm–8pm.
The group will also rehearse on Saturday 12 December, 10:30am–2:30pm, before sharing the work with friends and family that afternoon from 3:30pm–5pm.
